1972 Roberto Clemente Signed Check. Fifty dollar payment is made to Atlanta Braves clubhouse man John Hallahan by the noblest Pirate of them all, whose distinctive blue ballpoint script fills out and signs the presented personal check. Clemente checks rank among the toughest for post-war Hall of Famers, and this example is particularly appealing for its baseball connection. The ink is as bold as the date of application, the autograph very slightly touched by the brush of Clemente's hand. A vertical center fold is barely visible. Check is professionally matted and framed to allow viewing of the check's verso, with its endorsing signatures and Braves team stamping. Full framed size is 13x21". Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
