    1972 Edwin Henderson Signed Check - Father of Black Basketball! Offered is an April 3, 1972 check signed by Edwin Bancroft Henderson, known as the "Father of Black Basketball." Possibly the first male African American P.E. teacher in the country, he introduced basketball to the Washington D.C. communities in 1904. Note measures 2.75x6" and exhibits mild wear with stampings and folds that do intersect with the blue ballpoint signature. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
