1959 Vince Lombardi Signed Green Bay Packers Check. One of multiple signed Lombardi checks in our October catalog, this one exhibits impeccable condition - the legendary coach used extremely dark ball-point to endorse the bottom right corner, below that of President Dominic Olejniczak. Written during his first year in Green Bay, it displays superbly. Cancellations do not interfere with the "rookie" signature of Lombardi.

Dated "8-8 [19]59" the $50 note is made out to George Dixon, the Pack's 1959 ninth round pick out of the University of Bridgeport. Dixon, who has signed on the reverse, was cut towards the end of training camp despite and impressive 95-yard kickoff return touchdown in the game that would mark Lombardi's first win in GB. While the running back's NFL career never materialized, he found greener pastures up north in the CFL, having his number 28 retired by the Montreal Alouettes, and a spot reserved for him in the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1974. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
