    Description

1957 Ty Cobb Signed Personal Check Display. The most successful post-retirement businessman in our National Pastime's history, the Georgia Peach used the same single-minded determination that made him the reigning Hit King to conquer the world of finance. Here he makes a check out to cash to the tune of "$28.00." His solid blue pen displays solidly throughout the 3x8" note. A pair of creases appear vertically with one running through his middle initial. Please also note that the cancellation stamp slightly interferes with his first name. Framed and matted in an attractive 13x17" display along with an oversized black-and-white photograph. Some scratching to the plexi. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
