    Description

1951 Adolfo Luque Double Signed Check. One of the first Cubans in the Majors, Luque pitched in the crooked 1919 Series on the Reds' side. Check drawn on the account of the "Marianao B.B.C" was apparently handed to Luque as a blank check, as he fills it out to pay himself, and endorses the verso as well. We aren't certain who signed the authorizing signature at bottom right on the front. Check was once folded into quarters and has three vertical creases as a result, but is otherwise in fine condition. Ink is NRMT-MT. LOA from PSA/DNA.
