    1943 Herb Pennock Signed Check. He was a member of the World Champion 1914 Athletics, the 1916 Boston Red Sox and four Yankees Series winners between 1923 and 1932, so let's hope this check is as lucky for the winning bidder as Herb himself was for the teams he represented. This tough personal check was filled out and signed entirely in the hand of the Hall of Fame southpaw just three years before his passing in 1948. Pennock's black ink is flawless, drawing fifty dollars in cash from a bank in the town where he was born in 1894. Pennock does not endorse the verso, but his signature on front is marvelous, and untouched by the bank's punch coding. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
