1942 Babe Ruth Signed Check. Personal check from the Babe appears in its most desirable format, with his name printed at left side in bold font. But the true appeal, of course, is the handwriting and signature from the man himself, which pays seventy-eight dollars and change to "H. Rothstein," a surname which brings back memories of a scandalous 1919 baseball season (though we have no reason to believe there is a relation). The Babe's black fountain pen writing and closing "GH Ruth" signature rate 8/10. Ruth has also written a short note on verso, but the check is affixed to the backing along the upper edge complicating full legibility of the back. Check is presented in 11x16" mat, ready for framing. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
