    Description

1930 Ty Cobb Signed Check. Just two years after the Peach hung up his razor-sharp spikes, he filled out and signed this check drawn against his "Georgia Railroad Bank" account in unbeatable 10/10 black fountain pen ink. The check makes payment of $23.75 to a "Mildred Marston," and is autographed at the close in the inaugural Hall of Famer's standard "Tyrus R. Cobb" banking format. A vertical center fold is apparent upon close examination, and it appears the original stub has been glued at left edge, though this is just barely visible behind the matting. Check is attractively matted and framed to final dimensions of 12x19". Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
