1927 New York Yankees Payroll Check Signed by Barrow, Ruppert & Collins. Anything relating to the New York Yankees historic World Championship season of 1927 holds a special place in the hearts of serious baseball collectors, but this piece is truly special. This check drawn on the account of "The American League Base Ball Club of New York, Inc." pays a salary advance of $400 to the trusty Yankee backstop Pat Collins, with authorizing signatures from Hall of Fame executive Ed Barrow and Yankee owner Jacob Ruppert. The check is endorsed on verso by Collins. All autographs are 9/10 or better, and the check has a vertical center crease and a few spots of foxing but still presents very nicely. LOA from PSA/DNA.
