The first pinstriped hurler to grace the mound at Yankee Stadium, Bob Shawkey, received this $950.60 payroll check on May 31st of 1924. Measuring 3.5x9" the bank note from the team account exhibits a single fold in the center and has been signed on the front by Hall of Famers Ed Barrow and Jacob Ruppert. Shawkey has endorsed the reverse (some interference from bank cancellations. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
