    Description

1918 Honus Wagner Signed Check. Just six months removed from a Hall of Fame playing career that saw the Old Dutchman lead the National League in batting average eight times and register better than 3,400 hits, Wagner filled out this personal check drawn from a "Carnegie (PA) Trust Company" account. His unmistakable black fountain pen writing, paying "The Central District Telephone Co." the sum of $9.70, remains in splendid 9+/10 condition, closing with the desirable "John H. Wagner" authorizing signature. The check itself remains in the finest of condition, with no creases, stains or tears to report, and is attractively matted and framed with a second-generation photo of a Wagner/Cobb summit to final dimensions of 13.5x19". LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
