1914-59 Calvin Coolidge, Harry Truman & Jimmy Carter Signed Checks. A neat lot of checks signed by three former U.S. presidents. Republican Calvin Coolidge presided over one of the most brilliant economic periods in U.S. history and was an adamant supporter of racial equality. Coolidge signed this 1914 issue in flourishing 9/10 black fountain pen. Democrat Harry Truman is probably most remembered for his orders to release the Fat Man and Little Boy, which effectively ended World War II. He signed in 9/10 black ink on this 1925 issue while he was a judge in Missouri. Democrat Jimmy Carter presided over one of the most dismal economic periods in American history and, if that wasn't enough, was also saddled with the interminable Iran hostage crisis which helped make him a one-termer. He signed in 8.5/10 blue ballpoint. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.
