Union Army general is mostly known for his brilliant military strategy, total war tactics, and harsh scorched earth policy during the Civil War. After the war, Uncle Billy served as the supreme commander of the Army and the Secretary of War. Drawn from his personal bank account, this 1874 check is signed on the front in solid black fountain pen "W.T. Sherman." Framed and matted at 14x20" with an image of the leader above the bank note.
