    Description

Tony Oliva Signed Batting Practice Bat. A native of Cuba, Tony Oliva was the 1964 American League Rookie of the Year and began his coaching career in 1976. He now works as a hitting instructor in the Twins' minor league system and scouts for the club. He had his number 6 retired on July 14, 1991. If not for knee problems which cut short his career, Oliva would have been a certain choice for the Hall of Fame. Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger bat is signed by the popular long-time Minnesota Twins outfielder. The Model R161 bat shows light use, most likely used by someone else in batting practice. Knob has "22" and "BP" written in black sharpie pen. A small area of deadwood on barrel opposite the bat's stamping should be mentioned. JSA Auction LOA.
