    Tatyana Uspenskaya-Murphy

    black acrylic on canvas

Tatyana Uspenskaya-Murphy is an academically trained Russian-born artist, working and living in Dallas, TX. In addition to fine art, her career includes creative writing and creative design. One of her most notable works is a portrait of Mr. Robert Dedman Sr., the founder of ClubCorp of America, purchased for the company museum in 1998. Over the years, she developed a unique approach to creating art, collaborating on each project with her customers in order to produce pieces uniquely suited for the aesthetics, interests and style of each of her clients.
Tatyana's works include traditional representative oil paintings (landscapes, portraits and still life), black and white contemporary figurative works in acrylic, and a variety of abstracts both in oil, acrylic and mixed media. In the recent years, she has also expanded her creative endeavors into clay and stone sculpting.
Ms. Uspenskaya-Murphy has been a long-time supporter of various charities (DIFFA Dallas and Love for Kids, among others), donating her artwork and creating event specific designs.

Each year, the DAYL Leadership Class seeks to positively impact the City of Dallas through a class project. The 2013 Leadership Class is dedicated to fight against blight in Dallas's urban neighborhoods by partnering with Economic Partners Investing in Communities (EPIC). EPIC has brought together the collective strengths and leadership of visionary philanthropist Toni Brinker, Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, the Dallas Police Department, Mayor Rawlings's GrowSouth Initiative, and Safer Dallas, Better Dallas, to focus attention on the critical issue of revitalizing the Dallas community. EPIC was formed to bring together organizations that are already working throughout Dallas and help them combine resources to reduce the more than 100 square miles of blighted neighborhoods, which is 16% of the city. Funds raised through the DAYL Charity Ball will fund EPIC's ongoing research into urban renewal, and support EPIC's crucial revitalization efforts.
