2006 Robinson Cano Signed Game Used Bat, First All-Star Season and Silver Slugger.
Named after Jackie Robinson, Robinson Cano has certainly lived up to Jackie's on-field legacy, becoming one of the greatest second basemen of his generation in addition to being highly regarded as a leader in the clubhouse.

After turning in an impressive rookie year in 2005, finishing second in American League Rookie of the Year voting, Cano avoided the sophomore slump and hit .342 with 41 doubles and 15 home runs. He was the top vote-getter at second base for the All-Star Game but was unable to play due to a hamstring injury. "Robbie" finished his season on a high note winning AL Player of the Month in September and his first Silver Slugger Award after the campaign had ended.

This 34.5" unfinished Rawlings Big Stick Pro is from the '06 season displays heavy pine tar in the middle of the bat, an intricate tape job on the handle, and Cano's name in block lettering on the barrel. The uncracked bat shows some dead wood on the reverse side of the barrel, but this does not distract at all from the early lumber of a budding superstar.

The early-career bat features a similarly early autograph, addressed "Para Duarte, Mis Mejores Deseos" (For Duarte, My Best Wishes) in black pen. Cano added his number 22 inscription below his signature, which he only wore for the Yankees in '05 and '06 before surrendering the digits to Roger Clemens upon his return to the Bronx.
