    Description

1985-86 Boston Celtics NBA Championship Ring Presented to Front Office Employee. When the greatest teams in NBA history are debated and listed by those in the know, the team which tops the list most often is the 1985-86 Boston Celtics. They were the perfect team for any era because they could play any style of offensive set - long range, mid-range, post-up, or running - and their size and defense was more than imposing. This Celtics edition included eight All-Stars, five Hall of Famers, four Top 50, three Finals MVP's, and two league MVP's. Has there ever been a more formidable or clutch performing eight than Bird, McHale, Parish, Walton, DJ, Ainge, Wedman, and Sichting? Probably not. Its no wonder they were 40-1 at home, 67-15 overall, and 15-3 in the playoffs.

The Celtic's famed shamrock topped by a diamond-studded Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy sits front and center on this L.G. Balfour creation, crafted in fourteen karat (14k) gold. The sixteen real diamonds in total which appear on the trophy represent the franchise's total titles and include fifteen smaller stones on the base and one large stone on the ball. "Boston Celtics World Champion" circles the top of the ring, with "1986...Teamwork" on the left side and "Singer...World Championships...Pride" on the right side. Best of all are the NBA logo on the left shank, with Jerry West and the "NBA" in gold on a green enamel backdrop, and the leprechaun on the right shank, clutching a basketball and "16." The inner band is stamped "LGB 14K." The ring measures to a size of nine-and-a-half (9.5) and weighs forty grams (40 g.).

This is only the fourth exemplar on record to have ever been offered for public sale in the thirty-two years since they were issued. Don't hesitate on this offering as it is one tough find.
