    Description

1983 Gary Carter All-Star Game Ring from The Gary Carter Collection. Perhaps the most coveted by collectors of all All-Star Game rings, the 1983 edition was one of the most substantial issues for the simple facts that it is ten karat gold and that it commemorated the fiftieth anniversary of the inaugural Midsummer Classic in 1933. The sleek Balfour creation is set with a raised blue stone with "All-Star 1983" and the fiftieth anniversary logo on the sides. The game was held at Comiskey Park, the site of the 1933 contest, and every living Major Leaguer who played in an All-Star Game was invited to the spectacle. The fact that this ring was presented to a Hall of Fame player at the height of his powers, makes this offer even more sweet, exceedingly rare and desirable. Size 9.5. Weight eight grams (8 g.). Letter of provenance from Sandy Carter.
