    Description

1980's Hank Greenberg Signed Bat. Before Jackie Robinson there was Hank Greenberg, whose bravery and dignity in facing the bigotry he would encounter as a Jew in Major League Baseball served as an inspiration to Robinson, and an example to follow. While Greenberg's autograph on paper or photography is not particularly scarce, three-dimensional signed material is considerably so. Single signed baseballs routinely top $2,000 on the occasions that they surface, but this is just the second signed bat we've ever encountered from the Semitic slugger. Superior to our multi-signed example that approached $3,000 in October 2008, this thirty-five inch period store model beauty bears a later 9+/10 black sharpie signature on its flawless surface. A dream come true for Hall of Fame signed bat collectors, and those concentrating their efforts on this noble icon. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
