1941 St. Louis Cardinals Team Signed Bat. A lightly-used and cracked Don Padgett signature model Hillerich & Bradsby has assumed a second life as home to the autographs of well over thirty of Padgett's teammates in the Sportsman's Park dugout. Noteworthy names include Slaughter, Gonzales, Brecheen, Crespi, Lanier, Warneke, Marion, Southworth, Wares and Padgett himself. All listed autographs, and the majority of the balance, rate at an average of 8/10 in boldness. Just a few strain the eyes, and appear to include no major names. Pre-war team signed bats are very rare, and almost never provide such bold autographs as we locate here. Essentially the same team that would win it all in 1942. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
