Tracy Stallard Story of Maris' Sixty-first Home Run Inscription Baseball. You'll have to search far and wide to find a more heavily-inscribed baseball than we offer here, created by the Boston Red Sox pitcher who served up the Babe-busting home run pitch to Maris in the final game of the 1961 season. Stallard pens a lengthy account of the incident, noting that he hadn't planned to pitch that day, and that "I saw Roger coupla years later & he thanked me for having the nerve to pitch to him." The ink on the OAL (Budig) ball has a few very light fingerprints from Stallard as he wrote, but all ink, including his side panel autograph, rate 10/10. Limited edition 1/61. LOA from Steve Grad & Zach Rullo/ PSA DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
