The Only Known "Teddy Ballgame" Ted Williams Single Signed Baseball. While this is the man who would claim the majority of ballots in a vote for the greatest hitter of all time, he'd finish far out of the running in any election for Mr. Congeniality. Prickly at best and downright surly most often, Williams battled with the press and the fans at Fenway throughout his career, even as he established himself as one of Boston's all-time greatest sports heroes. So it was one brave soul who requested and received the rarest Williams autograph variation of them all. Never before have we encountered a "Teddy Ballgame" signature on a baseball, or in any other format, for that matter. It's certainly the rarest of any Hall of Fame single dating to the "autograph show" era, and a test that will determine the most dedicated Williams collector in the hobby. Autograph rates 9+/10 on the sweet spot of a minimally toned OAL (Brown) sphere. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
