Late 1990's Joe DiMaggio Single Signed Baseball. From the offices of Yankee Clipper Enterprises comes this limited edition OAL (Budig) baseball signed by "Joltin' Joe" DiMaggio. Added underneath his name is "HOF 55" and the ball is serial numbered 361/361, the number of career home runs DiMaggio knocked out. The serial numbering has faded slightly, but the autograph rates a nice 10/10. One small spot of toning is found to the right of the signature.

Besides his 361 dingers, a number that would certainly be closer to the 500 home run club had he not lost three years of playing time to the war. Although enlisted for three years, he was primarily asked to play exhibition baseball. He was treated so well during this time that he requested combat duty but was denied. DiMaggio also served his country in a special way before America entered the great war, by putting on one of the most fantastic hitting displays ever witnessed during the summer of 1941, including his fifty-six game hitting streak. America as a nation rallied behind the streak and his fame grew far beyond New York that season. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
