    Description

Late 1930's Dizzy Dean Single Signed Baseball. A rare playing-days single from the Don of the Gashouse Gang, signed near the end of his Hall of Fame pitching career. The side panel of this toned ONL (Frick) ball is inscribed to a young fan in 9/10 black fountain pen ink, and reads, "To Barbara From 'Dizzy' Dean." A light coating of shellac over the inscription has served its intended purpose admirably. Considerably more desirable than the post-career singles most typically seen in the hobby. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
