    Gene Elston Single Signed Baseball With "HoF" Inscription. Gene had a tremendous career as a broadcaster, beginning in 1954 and lasting until 1997. Collectors often attempt to get a single from every member of the Hall of Fame, but forget about the broadcasters' wing. In 2006 , Elston was awarded the Ford C. Frick Award from the Baseball Hall of Fame. The award is given annually to a baseball announcer who has given major contributions to the game. Elston signed the ball and added "HOF 06 Cubs, Buffs, Colt .45's Astros". OML (2009 WS) ball. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
