    Description

Frank Saucier Single Signed Baseballs (Eddie Gaedel Content!) Lot Of 5. Although Frank Saucier had a spectacular minor league career, he is best known for being replaced by the shortest player in baseball history, Eddie Gaedel , who pinch-hit for him in a stunt devised by Browns' owner Bill Veeck in 1951 , Saucier's only season in the big leagues. He was much more prolific in the minor leagues, however, hitting .348 in 1948 , his first pro season, at Belleville , and followed that with a .446 average at Wichita Falls in 1949 , which led all of professional baseball. We offer a lot of 5 OML (Selig) balls, 4 of which have been signed Frank Saucier "St. Louis Browns 1951". The final ball is the best with lengthy inscription making reference to one of the most famous events in baseball history. The inscription reads, "Frank Saucier St Louis Browns Injured payer for whom Eddie Gaedel pinch hit 8-19-51." PreCertified.
