    Description

Early 1950's Lefty Grove Single Signed Baseball. This superstar southpaw was a key ingredient in Connie Mack's second great dynasty in the late 1920's and early 1930's, and pitched the final game of his Hall of Fame career for the Boston Red Sox the day that Ted Williams elevated his 1941 batting average to .406. Here we find his 7/10 blue ink signature on the sweet spot of an OAL (Harridge) sphere. Despite living almost thirty years beyond his 1947 Hall of Fame induction, Grove is rarely seen in this format so bidders should pay close attention. It may be a while before a comparable specimen makes its way to the auction block. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
