    Description

Early 1940's Babe Ruth, Jimmie Foxx, Joe DiMaggio & More Signed Baseball. The first and second men to earn keys to the 500 Home Run Clubhouse are joined here by an odd selection of superstars, somebodies and nobodies on this "Semi Pro League" ball autographed sometime near the beginning of the Second World War. Ruth and Foxx present at phenomenal strengths of 9+/10, with DiMaggio perhaps two points lighter. Fellow Hall of Famers Bill Dickey, Joe McCarthy and Lefty Gomez are here as well, joined by the likes of Joe Gordon, Rollie Hemsley and Charlie Keller, all solidly within the 7/10 to 9/10 range that characterizes the entirety of the autographs. Some scattered toning causes no concern of note, as our catalog imagery should attest. An appealing way to bring some of the most important autographs in the hobby into your collection with a single winning bid. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication. Guide Value or Estimate: $4,000 - $6,000.
