    Description

Early 1930's Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig & Others Signed Baseball. We haven't quite been able to put our finger on the event that spawned this unusual multi-signed sphere, but we have to assume it dates to 1934 or earlier as the partnership of Yankees legends Ruth and Gehrig would conclude with the departure of the Babe at the close of that season. Ruth takes appropriate sweet spot honors in 8/10 fountain pen ink, with Gehrig a point or two lighter to the east. Other notable names among those accompanying the historic pair are Babe Pinelli, Smead Jolley, Lefty O'Doul and Lew Fonseca. Twenty autographs in total decorate the toned horsehide, averaging 7/10. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
