Description

Circa 1990 Mickey Mantle Single Signed Baseballs Lot of 12. "The Commerce Comet" will forever be remembered as the most popular player of a generation. Although arguments will forever remain whether he was the best, and Willie Mays and Hank Aaron may want to chime in, he certainly has stood the passage of time as a baseball hero. One reason his statistics may not approach Mays and Aaron is the simple fact that his body was continually broken down.

"Hitting the ball was easy. Running around the bases was the tough part. I always loved the game, but when my legs weren't hurting it was a lot easier to love."

Even despite the injuries, Mantle put up 536 home runs and 2,415 hits with a lifetime batting average just shy of .300. En route to twenty All-Star selections and three MVP awards, Mantle won seven World Series championships, a Triple Crown and was named to the MLB All-Century Team.

Every collection of note should include a nice single signed Mantle baseball, and with this lot, you can share with your entire family or hoard all twelve for yourself. A full box of a dozen OAL (Brown) balls, each has been signed in blue ballpoint pen by Mantle, in 8-10/10 ink. All baseballs come in original Rawlings boxes and in the original twelve-count display box. Baseballs range from lightly toned to solid white with a few exhibiting minor toning spots. An excellent investment opportunity.
