    Description

Circa 1980 Mickey Mantle & Roger Maris Signed Portrait Baseball. After Ruth and Gehrig, there's no more memorable duo in the pinstriped fold than the M&M boys, who captivated the world with raw power during the summer of '61. And like the Babe and Lou, baseballs bearing the autographs of Mickey and Roger can only continue to soar in value, with no limit but the sky. This particular specimen is enhanced by a fine painted portrait by noted sports artist Gregg Packer on the northern panel. Traveling south we first encounter the sweet spot autograph of the Mick, and then the former (and some would claim, still "legitimate") Home Run King on the panel below. The OAL (MacPhail) ball exhibits some toning, but the autographs retain 9/10 boldness. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
