    Description

Circa 1980 Bill Veeck Single Signed Baseball. As owner at various times of the Indians, Browns and White Sox, Bill Veeck was known for many contributions to baseball. Most recognized was his signing of Larry Doby in 1947 as the first African-American in the American League, and the second in the MLB. A 1991 Hall of Fame inductee, Veeck passed away of cancer in the mid-1980's, making single signed baseballs very scarce. This OAL (MacPhail) example exhibits considerable toning, and the markings are quite faded, but the signature is a bold 9/10 in black sharpie on a side panel. A rare opportunity to cross this HOFer off your want list. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
