    Description

Circa 1979 Thurman Munson Single Signed Baseball. High-grade sphere is consigned to Heritage by Maria herself, who wisely imposed upon the Yankee captain for an autograph shortly before his tragic death in a Canton airplane accident. The non-official ball is one of the boldest and cleanest Munson singles in the hobby, the simple "To Maria, Best Wishes, Thurman Munson" rating a conservative 9/10 in blue ballpoint ink. The heart and soul of the glorious New York Yankees World Championship teams of the late 1970's, Munson is one of the toughest singles of the sixteen retired jersey numbers honored in Monument Park. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
