    Description

Circa 1970 Mickey Mantle Single Signed Baseball. While we freely admit that Mantle singles aren't exactly rare in the collecting hobby, this special offering is a cut above the typical example. The Mick's 10/10 black ink sweet spot signature clearly predates the autograph show era, perhaps even applied during Mantle's final seasons as a player. The ball itself is earlier still, an OAL (Harridge) sphere that could be no later than Joe Cronin's assumption of the American League presidential role in 1959. The ball appears to exhibit some game use but still presents very nicely, as our catalog photography should effectively indicate. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
