    Description

Circa 1970 Earl Averill Single Signed Baseball. A firecracker accident almost prematurely ended Averill's career in 1935, but the Cleveland Indians outfielder recovered to string together six consecutive All-Star appearances and, eventually, to earn a long-awaited Hall of Fame plaque. Though his autograph is not particularly scarce in general, it is rarely seen on a single signed baseball, so serious collectors take note. His sweet signature presents at an impressive 9/10 on the offered ONL (Feeney) ball, sealed under a light clear coat. A fine hand-rendered portrait adorns the southern panel. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
