Circa 1956 Mickey Mantle, Don Larsen & Yogi Berra Signed Baseball. Mickey Mantle's book My Favorite Summer was his personal tribute to the season of 1956, which will instantly spring to the mind of any baseball historian happening upon this fabled trio. On the sweet spot we encounter the highly desirable mid-1950's version of that season's Triple Crown winner, with the perfect game battery of the 1956 World Series' fifth game directly to the east. Each presents with a boldness of 7/10 or better, and no other signatures appear. It is noteworthy that these celebrated Yanks reside upon an ONL (Giles) ball, suggesting the distinct possibility that this ball could have been signed (and possibly even used) on the day of Larsen's historic perfecto, as other known game balls have been of National League breed. While this would be impossible to prove definitively, it does seem to be the only particularly reasonable explanation for signatures of only these three, exactly matching 1956 exemplars, to decorate a Senior Circuit sphere.
