Description

Circa 1950 Ty Cobb & Wife Signed Baseball. The brief (1948-51) existence of the "Far West League" allows us to pinpoint fairly accurately the autograph of the Dead Ball Era legend's autograph on one of the organization's official baseballs. He's joined on a side panel by his wife Frances, the first pairing we've ever encountered on horsehide from this troubled couple. Each appears in 7/10 black ink. The only other autograph we can identify from the balance of five is Governor Douglas McKay, who served in that position for the State of Oregon from 1949 through 1952. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
