DescriptionCirca 1946 Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball.
UPDATE: Please note that this ball will be accompanied by a full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
Our consignor was a young lady at a Houston Buffs baseball game when she came face to face with the greatest figure in the sport's history. Her lengthy letter of provenance explains how this dirty Texas League sphere was launched into the stands with an errant throw during pre-game warm-ups in either 1946 or 1947, shortly before the Babe strode past her front row box along the third base line. Ruth sought out the cleanest portion of the ball to apply his essential signature, a blue fountain pen beauty that survives with 9/10 boldness. Letter of provenance from original collector.
