Circa 1945 Detroit Tigers Team Signed Baseball. With war decimating the ranks of baseball in the mid-1940's, it was anybody's game each season. In 1945, it was the Detroit Tigers who took home the World Championship, even playing without Hank Greenberg for part of the season. The offered ball dates to circa 1945, and while not including Greenberg, it does feature twenty-six signatures. Some of the keys include George Kell, Hal Newhouser, Hoot Evers, Steve O'Neill, Art Houtteman, Dizzy Trout, Vic Wertz, Roger Cramer, Virgil Trucks and Dick Wakefield. signatures average a nice 8/10. The logo on the ball has faded to unreadable, but the lightly toned ball offers no major wear or distractions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
