Description

Circa 1935 Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball PSA VG-EX+ 4.5. If you're thinking that this ball looks a heck of a lot nicer than the technical grade, then we're in agreement. The points are lost here on the ONL (Frick) ball itself, whose rather deep toning accounts for a grade of 2, dragging down the score of 7 assessed for the oversized side panel signature. Our catalog imagery should properly indicate that this is no ugly duckling, and we'd even argue that a signature grade of 8 might be more appropriate. In any regard, this is a dream piece for the budget-minded collector as the same signature on a clean, white ball would climb well past the $20,000 mark. Likely signed during Ruth's final season as a player, representing the Boston Braves, or perhaps during his 1938 stint as a Brooklyn Dodgers coach. Full grading LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
