    Description

Circa 1934 Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig & Jimmie Foxx Signed Baseball. The three greatest home run sluggers alive join forces upon this OAL (Harridge) ball apparently signed during a Yankees vs. Athletics contest late in Ruth's Bronx tenure. Upon first glance we had suspected a relation to the famed 1934 Tour of Japan as this trio was joined on the Trans-Pacific journey by fellow signers Connie Mack and Bing Miller, but other autographs from Lefty Grove, Bob Johnson and George Earnshaw blew that theory. The ball was clearly taken to the sandlots after its signing, and the signatures show the effect, but the Hall of Famers survive as follows: Ruth (6/10), Gehrig (2/10), Foxx (6/10), Mack (7/10), Grove (3/10). Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
