Description

Circa 1932 Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig & Rabbit Maranville Signed Baseball. Extraordinarily well-preserved specimen boasts a trio of Cooperstown legends, who are joined by Maranville's 1932 Boston Braves teammate Art Shires, the man that leads us to our presumed vintage. The presence of these four ballplayers on a single sphere strongly suggests spring training vintage, as the Yankees and Braves shared the sunny home base of St. Petersburg, Florida back in those days. Ruth predictably claims sweet spot honors for himself, flanked by the noble Iron Horse to his left, Shires above and Maranville below. The "State League" sphere has spent the entirety of its life in the included original box, a fact that has left the ball all but unchanged from the day of its brush with greatness. All signatures rate 9/10 at a minimum, and the white leather of the ball retains its original, creamy tone. An absolute marvel of preservation sure to satisfy even the most condition-conscious collector. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
