Description

Circa 1930 Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig & Mickey Cochrane Signed Presentational Baseball. Special keepsake was a gift to New York State Supreme Court Justice Phillip J. McCook, evidenced by both his embossed name on the "Compliments of Christy Walsh" blotter to which the baseball is affixed, and by a bold black fountain pen ink inscription by Babe Ruth. The iconic slugger is joined on the "Babe Ruth Home Run Special" sphere by fellow Hall of Famers Lou Gehrig and Mickey Cochrane, each likewise clients of pioneering sports agent Walsh, who commonly made gifts of such blotter baseballs to influential folks of the era. The ball exhibits a light coating of shellac that has chipped in places, but all three signatures remain as bold as their date of application, each easily a 9/10 discounting the occasional abrasion to a small portion of the autographs. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
