Circa 1929 Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig & Miller Huggins Signed Baseball. The beginning of Ernest Barnard's American League presidency in 1928 and Yankees manager Miller Huggins untimely death in the final days of the 1929 baseball season allow for just a narrow window of time that could have spawned this rare and highly desirable sphere. While the hobby always clamors for baseballs signed by the two great sluggers of the Murderer's Row-era Yanks, the addition of their diminutive Hall of Fame manager ratchets up the appeal considerably. Ruth appears in 6/10 black fountain pen ink on the sweet spot, with Gehrig a point or two lighter on the southern panel, as is Huggins to the east. Any shortcomings must be overlooked in light of the supreme rarity and relevance however, this being perhaps the most coveted Yankees "trio" ball in the hobby. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
