Circa 1929 Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig & G.C. Alexander Signed Baseball. We can't quite solve the riddle of this baseball, as our initial theory that the presence of the three Hall of Famers listed in the auction lot title would suggest 1926 or 1928 World Series vintage was derailed by others who arrived on the Major League scene afterwards. But while the origins remain in question, the tremendous appeal does not. The Ruth signature upon the sweet spot of the "Official League Ball" would make for a $15,000 single in its 8/10 condition, and his sidekick Gehrig is equally strong on the southern panel. The very tough Grover Cleveland Alexander resides to the north of the Babe, projecting at an even more impressive 9/10. Other notables include Combs (3/10), Dickey (9/10), Lazzeri (6/10) and Wilcy Moore (8/10). Eighteen autographs are here in total, with the average a solid 6/10. A fine chance to bring some qualiity pre-war Hall of Fame autographs into your collection. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
