    Description

Circa 1928 Miller Huggins & Pat Collins Signed Baseball. The Hall of Fame manager for the New York Yankees' signature upon an OAL (Barnard) ball provides the thinnest of windows for its application, as Huggins would come to a sudden, tragic end during the last week of the 1929 season, only two years after Barnard's inauguration. The diminutive skipper's passing over eight decades ago has had the expected effect upon his autograph's availability, particularly on horsehide, so this 7/10 representation is worthy of attention. It is placed directly below that of catcher Pat Collins, whose 1926-28 service to the Bronx narrows the possible date of production even further. His autograph survives at 8/10 strength. The ball is otherwise free of writing. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
