    Description

Circa 1927 Walter Johnson Single Signed Baseball. This particular style of red and black stitched ONL (Heydler) ball was manufactured only between 1926 and 1932, leading us to conclude that it was likely signed during one of the final two seasons of The Big Train's Hall of Fame career. Seasoned collectors understand how scarce Johnson singles are, and that the small available supply tends to date from his post-playing years, so excitement over this offering is certainly well justified. The black fountain pen sweet spot signature has mellowed somewhat to a conservative rating of 7/10, and the ball itself remains wonderfully clean and just a half tone from pure white. One of the most desirable Johnson solos to reach the hobby in recent memory. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
