    Description

Circa 1927 Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Signed Baseball. The mayor of St. Petersburg wisely produced an OAL (Johnson) baseball for signing when he found himself in the presence of legends, and here we have his souvenir of the encounter. Joining the mayor's own autograph on this well-worn horsehide is a sweet spot offering from Babe Ruth, and side panel signatures from Lou Gehrig (partially traced), Kenesaw Mountain Landis, Earle Combs (partially traced) and one other. Signatures suffer from decades of wear but are still all readily legible. Ban Johnson's American League presidency concluded with the 1927 season, so the ball could be no later than that. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
