    Description

Chuck Bednarik Single Signed Ball With Lengthy Military Inscription! Bednarik is known as one of the most devastating tacklers in the history of football and the last two-way player in the National Football League . He is perhaps best remembered for a tackle on the New York Giants ' Frank Gifford , then a star running back, that knocked Gifford out of professional football for a year and a half, and shortened Gifford's playing career. Bednarik played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1949 through 1962 and, upon retirement, was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame in 1967 (his first year of eligibility). We offer a single signed baseball with a lengthy inscription. Chuck was a decorated member of the U.S. Air Force which he makes reference to on the ball. The signature and inscription read Chuck Bednarik "Eagles 1949-62 HoF 67, Sgt U.S. O.F., 30 missions over Germany." Pre- Certified by PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
