1981 Negro League Reunion Multi-Signed Baseball. Not since the active days of the Negro Leagues had such a convergence of top talent occurred as it did at the '81 Ashland, Kentucky reunion, when the greatest in the game met up to swap stories and see each other for perhaps the last time. Documenting that historic meeting is this special baseball, stamped "1981 Negro League Players Reunion" and signed by no fewer than twenty-six of the men in attendance. Perhaps most notable is the exceptionally tough Hall of Famer Hilton Smith's autograph, a signature that books for a conservative $3,500 on a single. Others include O'Neil, Paige, Judy Johnson, Irvin, Leonard, Jethroe, Trouppe, Webster MacDonald, Ford Smith and Cool Papa Bell. Not a single signature drops below 8/10 in quality, with most a point or two better. With surviving Negro Leaguers an increasingly endangered species, there is nowhere for the value of a piece like this to go but through the roof. LOA from PSA/DNA.
